Dear comrades,
There are many things that will be deeply engraved in our collective memory from 2023. And most of them will continue to haunt and hurt us in the new year.
It is the blood of the thousands of dead children of Gaza, murdered daily by the State of Israel, with the support of the “civilised” West, which seems to seek to wipe out and erase the people of Palestine from the face of the earth.
It is the war that has been raging in Ukraine for more than 22 months, having already cost the lives of thousands of people, most of them young people who have become cannon fodder for their commanders, in a geopolitical and economic game between the imperialist powers.
It is the refugees and migrants who continue to cross death zones, to end up in the walls that have been built and the concentration camps that have been constructed to protect the “fortresses” of Europe and America.
It is the dangerous militarization and armament around the world, the strengthening of the bourgeois state in its repressive forms, restriction of freedoms, persecution, censorship, totalitarianism.
It is these and many other things that cannot let us sleep peacefully. Which oblige us to get angry when the guilty dare to speak in the name of “democracy” and “freedom”.
We will not obey!
We will not go their way because they try to convince us that there is no alternative.
We want to turn 2024 into a year of an anti-war movement with independence from the bourgeois politics and interests of each country and from the imperialist blocs. To connect the anti-war action and the social-class struggle. To unite the anti-war movement with the struggle for bread, freedom, education, health against our governments and the barbaric capitalism. This system can and must be overturned!
With solidarity, struggle and hope we will continue to talk with the revolutionary forces all over the world to strengthen the class workers’ movement, the anti-capitalist revolutionary, communist Left.
The workers in our countries can develop important joint initiatives in order to call for struggle to overturn the rotten system of exploitation, that is capitalism.
Hope lies in the struggle of the peoples!
